Date: Wednesday, 7 May 2025
Time: 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM
Location: SWAY London

We’re excited to announce our next Chapter 2 social gathering with a twist! This May, we’re hosting our regular meet-up at the stylish SWAY London. But this time we’re introducing an optional speed dating segment for those interested in making new connections.

Event Details

The evening will begin at 6:00 PM with our usual relaxed social atmosphere. And everyone will receive two complimentary drinks to help ease into the evening.

From 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM, we’ll have an optional speed dating session for those who wish to participate. This is entirely voluntary, and there’s absolutely no pressure to join.

So whether you’re looking for friendship, companionship, or something more, this structured format can make those initial conversations a bit easier.

For those who prefer to simply mingle and chat, the rest of the venue will remain open for regular socialising.

Why Try Speed Dating?

Speed dating offers a light-hearted, low-pressure way to meet several new people in a short amount of time. Each conversation is brief (typically 4-5 minutes) and gives you just enough time to see if there’s a connection worth exploring further.

Many of our members have found that these quick introductions help break the ice and make the prospect of meeting new people less daunting, especially in a group where everyone understands the unique journey of life after loss.

How to Register

This event is free to attend, but if you’d like to participate in the speed dating portion, please reserve your spot below:

Even if you’re not planning to participate in speed dating, we recommend registering to help us manage numbers for the venue.

We Hope to See You There!

Whether you’re looking for new friendships, potential romantic connections, or simply a night out with people who understand your journey, we’d love to welcome you to this special event.

Remember, the speed dating portion is completely optional, many members attend our events simply to enjoy the company of others who “get it.”

Facing Chapter 2

Therapy inspired me to face my Chapter 2.
Last Christmas, 2024, I found myself at lunch with four lovely actors I’d worked with a decade ago. All women now in their sixties — all still happily married. Except me.

But as life keeps reminding us, nothing is forever. In April 2022, after a short and brutal encounter with cancer, he was gone.

Since then, I’ve been learning how to live again — not in the shadow of loss, but in the light of love that remains.

Therapy didn’t erase the grief, but it opened the door to something new: the possibility that Chapter 2 could still be written, and that I’m the one holding the pen.
