It's a heart-warming, beautiful new programme that's been hailed as a Love Island for the middle aged. Thankfully there are no prying lenses in the bedroom!

On Friday 7th July, we partnered with One Minute Briefs to create a unique campaign, bringing together the best creative ideas in just 60 seconds! Every day, One Minute Briefs (OMB) challenges the creative Twitter community to respond with their ideas to daily advertising briefs and reward the best entries. We partnered with OMB to challenge their audience to craft captivating posters to showcase Chapter 2 Dating.

Sunny skies, warm evenings, BBQ’s, holidays, fish 'n' chips on the beach, lighter nights and ice cream – all things which were once relished and enjoyed as a couple, or conventional family, can be incredibly challenging as a widow or widower. It is at times a painful reminder of those lost future plans and happy memories…

I sometimes feel like I'm living two parallel lives. The one where Tim is still alive. And then there's the one that I am in now, without Tim but with my wonderful wife Dee.

Chapter 2 have surveyed over 500 widows and widowers to explore “widow’s fire” and intimacy after grief.

We recognise that real widows come from all walks of life. We comprise all genders and all sexual preferences, all races, all demographics, all age ranges, married and cohabiting, parents or not. Unfortunately love and loss do not discriminate and affects us all. Here at Chapter 2 want to celebrate the reality of what real widows look like, we want to smash the stereotypes.

Love and loss are universally big themes, and as widows and widowers they have in some way undoubtedly defined our lives. It is perhaps inevitable that scriptwriters, producers, and directors often include these themes as entertainment for both the big and small screen.

At Chapter 2, we are creating a safe and secure space to explore what your next chapter may look like but recognising and respecting what has gone before. We've put together a few helpful tips to ensure you get the most benefit from your membership, for both Basic and Premium Access members.
